Here We Go Mission Phase 2
Typical Buenos Aires morning. Dog walkers can handle virtual armies of dogs.
As announced in the last blog, we have been reassigned to Salt Lake. We leave on Tuesday, May 26. We are flying to St. George to pick up our car and take care of some business and then head to Salt Lake on June 1. We are still part of the Buenos Aires (BA) North mission, at the BA area office. Everything we do is on line so we can just carry on with our work from there. We have meetings that take place over Microsoft Teams or Google Meet. We also have our own Zoom account that makes it easy to connect too.
A couple of days ago, Elder David A. Bednar was in BA and there was a special devotional for everyone who works in the area office. That means we have met/shaken hands with Elders Cook, Renlund, Causse' and Bednar. Also we have met Elder Dube, one of the General Authority Seventies.
This is going to be a really good change for us and we are grateful that location changes are possible.
In previous entries, I've mentioned the tree outside our window. We call him Melvin. The last few weeks, Melvin has been shedding his leaves.
You also know when you are never going to starve when you see that there are McDonald's nearby. There are two MickeyD's near our apartment here.
This is a great example of how people park here. Didn't stay around to see how the car that is behind is going to get out. The one in front has plenty of space to move out. The second one has a large trash dumpster behind it.
Last, but not least, Elder Tim Hansen, our area medical advisor, had a birthday. He and his wonderful wife, Bev, teach primary so the kids had a little party for him last Sunday.
We are so grateful to have had this time here. It's bittersweet to move but we are really grateful that we get to continue with the work.
Love you all!
